Reverse Advent – the joy of giving

This year we are pleased to be supporting the Trussell Trust Food Bank Reverse Advent Calendar appeal.

In their tutor groups, students have been given the opportunity to choose an item they would like to donate from the list published by the Food Bank. The food items that each group gives will add up to an emergency food parcel to help local people in crisis. Trussell Trust Food Banks see a 45% rise in referrals to their services during the two weeks before Christmas so students are helping to make a real difference with their donations.

All donations need to be in by Wednesday 13th December at the latest.

German Exchange

Yesterday, 25 students and 4 staff headed to Speyer in south-western Germany for the second leg of this year’s German Exchange, in what is the 16th year of our partnership with the Gymnasium am Kaiserdom school. Our students will be staying with host families and as well as attending lessons in our partner school they will be taking part in a variety of trips and experiences whilst there. We wish them a “gute Reise”.
