Anti-Bullying Week

On the 17th November, we are running an “Odd Socks Day” as part of Anti-Bullying Week. We would love for everyone to be involved in this.

Kintbury Retreat

A number of Sixth Form students are off to St Cassian’s Centre, a Youth Retreat Centre, in Kintbury tomorrow . Students will be able to take time out to reflect, make new friends and retreat from the daily pressures of 6th form life.

This is a great opportunity for students to recharge their batteries, encounter God, and become reacquainted with themselves!

Poppy Appeal

This week our Sixth Formers have been busy selling poppies every morning before registration. Thanks to all for volunteering your time and let’s all wear out poppy with pride.

Drama Trip

Year 11, 12 and 13 Drama students are off to Bournemouth University tomorrow to watch a live performance of Clybourne Park by Bruce Norris, as part of their exam requirements.

Clybourne Park received its British premiere at the Royal Court Theatre, London, in 2010, directed by Dominic Cooke. It won the 2010 Evening Standard Award for Best Play, and transferred to the West End in 2011.

We hope the students have a lovely time!

Year 9 First Aid Training

The resusci-Annie’s are waiting for the second first aid session with Year 9’s, who opted for the free sessions run by Harrison Moors.

Harrison, in Year 12, was recently named the St John’s Ambulance Cadet of the Year for 2017!

Amsterdam Trip Update

Art Students from Year 11, 12 and 13 had an amazing time in Amsterdam over the October Half term visiting Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum and the Kroller-Muller National Park and Gallery.
